My latest videos
In this video I will talk you through a typical day out on a photography trip in Iceland.
Road 626 in the Icelandic Westfjords used to be the main road connection between the Arnarfjörður and Dýrafjörður fjords in the area. In winter time this road wasn't always maintained that frequent and as you can see from this video, in those conditions this road would be quite the obstacle to tackle. I have driven it several times now, and it is for sure one of my favorite roads in the country. The views are stunning.
Here's another video test with my new XT4. Shooting and trying out the 4K 60fps mode and get some subtle slowmotion on a 24fps video timeline in post. The image of the XT4 is really nice, sharp, clean and very usable film simulations to edit footage in post. Flog and Eterna for example. All footage in this video was shot in 4K 60fps, at 200mbps in Eterna mode. With the 16-80mm F4 lens.
In this video I am flying my drone over a frozen lake. Trying to find and capture shapes and patterns in the ice. Also this video is a bit more vlog styled where I talk a little bit more. I've been doing a lot of my silent hiking videos lately so it felt right to make a video like this again. Hope you enjoy it, thank you!
Past weekend we had two days of decent snowfall, and freezing cold temperatures that allowed for the snow to stay around for a bit. So I did not waste any time, packed up my gear and bag and went out. I chose to go out to the local Nature Reserve. Het Leudal, a place I know quite well. It offers nice views from many of the steep river banks of the stream running through the forest. A beautiful valley and woodland. Especially in these winter conditions. Also it was another great test for my newly purchased microphone, the Rode VideoMic NTG. I hope the snow stays for a bit, so that I can go out again later this week!
